Remembrance day 2020

Remembrance Day 2020

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the moment the guns fell silent on the Western Front after the bloodshed of World War 1. Over the past century, this moment has been adopted across the globe as a time to remember those who served and sacrificed in all wars and conflicts.

This year we will be hosting a very limited Remembrance Day Service at the entrance to the venue at 10.45am sharp. Please be aware of social gathering restrictions, and keep your social distance.

There will be no refreshments as we have done in the past, and unfortunately not everyone will be able to enter that RSL at the conclusion to the Service due to the restrictions on numbers allowed in the venue. We apologise for this, but it is out of our control.

DONATE TODAY… If you would like to donate to this years Poppy appeal, please donate directly to our RSL, or alternatively, there will be Poppy’s available for sale on Remembrance Day at the entrance to the club.

Digital Projector System

DIGITAL PROJECTOR SYSTEM

Two new Digital Multimedia Projectors have been upgraded to the latest technology and installed in the Member’s Lounge and the Upstairs’ Function Room areas.

Both projectors have a sharper and clearer digital picture to watch your favourite Sports and also for your presentations which can be connected to the latest portable devices.

Solar Power

SOLAR POWER

Watsonia RSL now has installed renewable GREEN SOLAR ENERGY to power our daily needs of the Club. We have installed a 94 KW Solar Power System with 240 Panels across 2 Levels of our roof.

This new solar system will have enough solar energy to run the entire Watsonia RSL Sub-Branch. We also now have an “Electrical Car Charging Point” at the rear of the building.

Solar energy is one of the cleanest sources of renewable energy, it’s more efficient and sustainable which the Watsonia RSL has committed to for our own local environment.

 

These solar panels are an invaluable cost effective investment for the Watsonia RSL for its energy needs not only for now but for the future.
